  • Featured Speaker, Fox Center Response Forum XXI. Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry, Emory University. Atlanta, GA, Jan 26, 2022. I was one of 5 featured Post-Doctoral Fellows speaking at this public forum. My talk was on trans poetics.
  • Co-Organizer, Co-Moderator, and Panelist, ”Trans Studies and the Transnational” Working Group. Modern Language Association. Jan 7-8, 2022. Washington, DC. Along with K. Allison Hammer and Jude Hayward-Jansen, I co-organized, co-moderated, and presented a talk at the first-ever Working Group in Trans Studies at MLA. The group featured nine scholarly participants.
  • Featured Reader, The Poetry Project at St Marks Church, New York, NY. Dec 2019. My reading was introduced by Maria Damon. The other reader was Philip Good. You can watch excerpts from the reading here and here.
  • Presenter, Panelist, and Reader at the Associated Writing Programs Conference. Portland, Oregon, March 2019. I hosted a Featured Event titled “Coloring Outside the Gender Binary: How Transgender Poets are Redefining What it Means to be Human” which also featured Joy Ladin, Ching-In Chen, Cam Awkward-Rich, and Max Wolf Valerio. I was a panelist for “The New Speculative: Writing Between Labels, Identities, Borders, and Bodies” with Everett Maroon, Amir Rabiyah, and Ashley Young. And I was a Featured Reader in the trans literature event “Reading in an Age of Chaos” with Everett Maroon and Carter Sickels.
  • Reader, Stonewall 50 Celebration. The Poetry Project. New York, NY. June 26, 2019. This reading was co-curated by The Academy of American Poets, Lambda Literary and The Poetry Project.

  • Keynote Speaker, Fantasia Fair (a transgender conference). Oct 2016, Provincetown, MA. The other keynote speakers at this conference were Jennifer Finney Boylan, Lorelei Erisis, and Diego Miguel Sanchez.
  • Panelist and Poetry Reading Curator/Host at Trans* Studies: An Interdisciplinary Conference. Sept 2016, University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ. I was a panelist on three separate panels at this conference, one of which I co-organized with Trish Salah. I also curated and hosted the main literary event at this conference, a 3-hour poetry reading featuring 12 major trans poets.
  • Featured Speaker, Queer Memoir Series. July 2, 2016. The Kraine Theater, New York, NY. The others speakers were Charlie Solidum, Cecilia Gentili, Stephanie Schroeder, and Linda Saegert. The event was curated and hosted by Kelli Dunham.
  • Featured Speaker, Perfectly Queer Readings. April 2016, Books Inc, San Francisco, CA. For this reading, I gave a talk about the process of co-editing Troubling the Line. The other readers were Julian Brolaski, Gr Keer, and Zoe Tuck. The event was curated by Richard May.
